How to design the perfect Porsche.
When building the perfect Porsche, it can be challenging to know where to begin. In addition to the equipment available as standard, customers can have their chosen vehicle individualised with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. With over 700 Exclusive Manufaktur options across all model lines, the number of possible variations are huge, and it is rare to see two Porsche cars the same. Luckily, at Porsche Centre Tewkesbury, we have put together a guide of our highly recommended options to help you out.
It may help to break the design of your Porsche into two categories, features that benefit the performance of your Porsche and components that will style your car to best suit your personal preferences.
1 – By having the Porsche Crest embossed on the head restraints you can immediately and easily achieve a more refined appearance to your leather interior. The Porsche crest can be embossed into both the front and rear seats.
2 – If you are looking to make your model designation pop or looking to achieve a stealthily all-black configuration, the Porsche logo painted in black (matt), and the model designation painted in black (high gloss) are the perfect items to select. Often, the small details make all the difference.
3 – When purchasing a performance car, a sporty look is often high on our list of priorities. The SportDesign Package in black changes the design and layout of your front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts, making your car appear lower and more race orientated. This is a great way to set your Porsche apart from the standard configuration.
4 – When it comes to racing materials, carbon fibre is the holy grail. Lightweight and beautifully finished, the Carbon Interior Package delivers a race car aesthetic inside your Porsche.
1 - Power Steering Plus is a great way to improve your Porsche handling. It is a speed-sensitive power steering system which means that at high speeds, the steering firms up and responds with greater precision. At low speeds, the steering ratio adjusts for easy manoeuvring and parking.
2 – The Sport Chrono Package is a must-have item on any Porsche model. The mode switch, fitted to your steering wheel allows you to change engine modes and vehicle tuning immediately. Pressing the button in the centre of the mode switch primes the engine and transmission for the fastest possible unleashing of power, perfect for overtaking.
3 – If you have ever been caught out on an icy morning you know how frustrating it can be waiting for your windscreen to defrost. The Porsche heated windscreen significantly reduces the time required to defrost and demist your windscreen. Ideal for those mornings when nothing is going to plan.
4 – The Heated multifunction Sports steering wheel provides supreme comfort and supports precision driving control whilst allowing full control of your PCM (Porsche Communication Management System) without taking your hands off the wheel.
5 – Rear-axle steering is a fantastic option that allows for greater manoeuvrability and driving safety in everyday use – as well as a significant increase in maximum driving performance. During low-speed manoeuvres, the system steers the rear wheels in the opposite direction to that of the front wheels. The turning circle is reduced, agility is increased, and parking becomes noticeably easier to manage. During high-speed manoeuvres, the system steers the rear wheels in the same direction as that of the front wheels. This virtual extension of the wheelbase increases driving stability. Rear-axle steering makes it clear that there is no contradiction between stability and agility or performance and everyday driveability.
All of these options will help to make your Porsche that extra bit special. However, the possibilities do not end here. The best way to understand which features will most benefit your unique desires is to explore the options in the Porsche Car Configurator. Once you have built your dream Porsche, please speak with a member of our team who will be able to best advise which other items you could consider.
*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
